The Verbal Arts Centre

The Verbal Arts Centre in conjunction with its partners has devise, develop and deliver the `Crows on the Wire` Project.  This project is funded under SEUPB - Peace III Programme by the consortium of SEUPB, Pobal and Community Relations Council.

The Verbal Arts Centre’s underpinning purpose is the promotion of the language arts, celebration of commonality and diversity, development of knowledge, understanding and excellence in creation, performance and critical practice across the verbal arts forms.  The Verbal Arts Centre strives to provide everyone regardless of age, background or ability with the opportunities, skills and resources to tell their story using creative means and to experience and engage with the stories of others.

The purpose of our work aims to provide unheard or marginalised voices from ‘overlooked’ communities with the opportunity to tell their story and to listen to stories of others.  The Verbal Arts Centre recognises and values the need for the sharing of the unheard human stories of all groups or individuals within society.
